Angelina Jolie semi-retiring but will still accept work

Now and then our favorite actress announces that she’s gonna stop acting and focus on her family. Then suddenly a slew of her movies come out! Just this year, Kung Fu Panda, Wanted and The Changeling came out. That’s Angelina Jolie semi-retiring, LOL! She explains that she’s leaving the door open if the perfect project comes along. She added, “I don’t think I’ll ever say I’m never, ever gonna work. Because maybe there’s that interesting project where I feel creative.” Ohh, now I get what Angelina Jolie meant by semi-retiring! Hehe!

The actress also shared she doesn’t want to be a celebrity forever. Though I believe its her celebrity status that makes her charity projects work better. Angelina Jolie shares, “It’s great, but everything comes in seasons. Hopefully I won’t be needing to do that later in my life.” Anyway, to her fans, she still has two films in production so no worries in missing her on the big screen =) Here’s Angie’s upcoming movies: “Atlas Shrugged,” based on the Ayn Rand novel, and “The Mercenary: Love and Honor,” about Catherine the Great.

Angelina Jolie planning to be a grandma??

Man, I really can’t picture her as that! But I guess, after having six kids, it seems she can’t help but think of family stuff. Angelina Jolie told BBC that she’s yearning for more time at home with her six kids and doesn’t want to be a workaholic anymore. She said, “I don’t plan to keep acting very long. I’m ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day.” Angelina Jolie is really one crazy sexy woman eh?? Fade away? Is that even possible for someone as huge as her??

Anyhoo, the actress continued to share, “I won’t work again probably for another year. So maybe it’ll be once a year. . . then maybe it’ll be once every three years.” Angelina Jolie said she needs to be there for her six kids and partner Brad Pitt. She relates, “I have a lot of children. I have a big responsibility to make sure that they’re growing right and that they have got us there for them.”

Jen Aniston says Angelina Jolie is inappropriate and uncool

OUCH! The woman Brad Pitt scorned is now unafraid of the “other woman”. I smell an incoming catfight here! I say bring it on Angelina Jolie! ;-) Anyhoo, the much talked about story these days came from Jennifer Aniston’s interview in Vogue’s December 2008 issue. The “Friends” actress related that Angelina Jolie’s interview in Vogue’s January 2007 issue really pissed her off. In the said interview, the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actress recounted a timeline of exactly how her relationship with Brad Pitt developed on the set of their starrer movie – and all this happened while Jen was still married to and living with Brad. YOIKS!

And so, nearly a year later, Jennifer Aniston reacts and breaks her silence. She said, “There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening. I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss.” In the interview, Jen, still galled, shakes her head in disbelief and continued, “That stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.” Oh wow! Any statement in your defense Angelina Jolie? The whole world is waiting with bated breath! Hehe!

why Clint Eastwood chose Angelina Jolie

The 78-year old director usually prefers to cast relative unknowns in movies he directs so that viewers won’t see the movie star but the role s/he plays. But in “The Changeling”, Clint Eastwood chose Angelina Jolie – one of Hollywood’s most famous actresses. The challenge then rested on the actress on how she can lose the moviegoers and make them see she’s a mother who lost her son. Guess the director felt she can do that and trusted her with the role. But the thing is, Clint Eastwood chose Angelina Jolie coz he thought “she reminds me a lot of the actresses from the Golden Age of movies in the ’40s.”

The director further defends his star, “She’s been on the cover of so many magazines in recent years and she is hampered by having one of the most beautiful faces around, so sometimes people tend to overlook that she is a really fine actress and a terrific talent. I’ve worked with some really good actresses in my career and I don’t think any of them ever came any more prepared than she did.” That’s our Angelina Jolie! ^_^
